“The Detail Man”

"The Detail Man" was washing a car at a used car lot in Itta Bena, MS. I asked him if I could take his photo so he dropped the water hose and struck this awesome pose for me. When I asked him his name he pointed to the sign on the lot, "Jimmy's Used Cars." I guess he thought I was asking him the name of the business or maybe he’s Jimmy. He seemed like a very nice, unassuming young guy. I wanted to do a full-length painting to capture his statue-like pose.
